A spectacular unveiling ceremony for the Bentley Bentayga with an extended wheelbase
Bentley introduces new standards of comfort and luxury. The Bentley Bentayga with an extended wheelbase captivated the audience during its first official presentation in Cyprus. This took place on Friday, May 19th at the Limassol Marina, as part of the Limassol Boat Show 2023. In a spectacular unveiling ceremony, the public had the opportunity to witness firsthand a top-tier model in the global automotive industry from the legendary Bentley brand, now available in Cyprus.
The model was unveiled in the Cypriot market at the Limassol Boat Show on May 19 in Limassol. The new Bentayga Extended Wheelbase is a high-end SUV that has been extended by 180 mm, increasing its wheelbase from 2,995 mm to 3,175 mm. This translates into outstanding interior space for both the driver and passengers in its class.
An additional innovative feature of the new Bentayga Extended Wheelbase is the most advanced rear seats ever installed in a vehicle. These are the Bentley Airline Seats with an innovative automatic climate control detection system. These specific seats can detect the temperature and humidity levels of the passengers’ bodies and decide whether to activate their heating or air conditioning, or a combination of both options.
Furthermore, the seats incorporate specialized sensors to measure pressure across the entire seat surface, making necessary adjustments in six pressure zones to provide ideal body support and reduce fatigue during long journeys. It should also be noted that through a touch screen, rear passengers can electrically adjust the seat in 22 directions, while there is also the possibility of recalling it 40 degrees. Between the rear seats, there is a heated central armrest, which, when closed, allows for the transportation of a third rear passenger for short distances.
For the first time in a Bentley model, there is an option for electrically closing the rear doors. Another impressive feature is the “Bentley Diamond Illumination” hidden lighting system on the door panels. The light shines through small holes with a diameter of just 1 mm on the leather door panels. According to Bentley, there are 12 and 22 LED lights on each of the front and rear doors, respectively.
The new Bentayga Extended Wheelbase is equipped with the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which works together with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and produces 550 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque. This allows for acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h.
